Allie Lindsley and Brenda Herr had the opportunity to attend the STAT (Soroptimists Together Against Trafficking) Salutes Our Mission Heroes event last Thursday. This annual gathering honors individuals and organizations who are taking a stand against human trafficking.
This year, eight mini-grants were awarded to support efforts that both assist survivors and help prevent trafficking. It was inspiring to hear about the impactful work being done by fellow nonprofits across San Diego County and to learn from their dedication and innovation in this space.
As an added highlight, I had the privilege of meeting Susan Munsey, founder of GenerateHope, and connecting around our shared mission.
